A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine buildings and grounds maintenance tasks. Attending calls, room preventive maintenace, The successful candidate will have the capability to perform various maintenance tasks including, painting, dry wall repair, lawn care, and other assigments. As well as the ability to diagnose and repair kitchen equipment and other equipment. Must hold a valid driver license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Driving shuttles Safely drive vehicle over specified routes or to specified destinations adhering strictly to time schedules, complying with traffic regulations and state laws to ensure that passengers have a smooth and safe ride. Ensure that passengers follow safety regulations. Provide passengers with assistance entering and exiting vehicles and help them with any luggage. Assume responsibility for the safety and security of passengers/goods during transport. Test vehicle equipment to ensure proper operation before each shift. Always maintain cleanliness of vehicles, boat Painting and staining the interior and exterior of buildings. Repairing damage to walls and flooring. Various woodworking tasks. Ability to form and pour concrete for small slabs and footings. Replacing and fixing plumbing fixtures. Utilizes Maintenance Management Software to record detailed logs of work performed. Carries out weekly preventative maintenance inspections of facility assets. Assists resort staff with facility recycling program. Occasionally assists with landscaping, mowing, snow removal, and plowing. Performs minor repairs and maintenance of kitchen equipment and HVAC equipment. Occasionally performs custodial tasks. Performs other duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
High School Diploma Valid State driver's license with mandated endorsements. At least 2 years of facility maintenance or carpentry related experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word) Ability to speak, read, write and otherwise communicate in English. Class D Driver's License with insurable driving record, preferred CDL. Possess or have the ability to obtain a Special Engineer Boiler License.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds infrequently. Must have the ability to engage in a wide variety of physical activities including walking,, and working on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders and stairs, kneeling, squatting, etc. Ability to perform a wide variety of duties at heights from 10-30+ ft. off the ground. Ability to perform work in all weather conditions including extremes of heat and cold.
