This role focuses on advanced hands-on maintenance responsibilities, technical expertise, and cross-functional support. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will serve as a senior technical resource for the maintenance team, helping improve equipment reliability, support best practices, and strengthen maintenance processes while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting and repair activities. Who You Are You are an experienced maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a passion for keeping equipment operating at peak performance. You bring technical expertise, collaboration, and accountability to your work. You enjoy being a resource for team members, sharing best practices, and identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency. You are comfortable balancing urgent maintenance needs with long-term preventive maintenance strategies and enjoy partnering with Operations and Engineering to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime. What You'll Do- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on CNC machinery, manufacturing equipment, and facility systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Serve as a senior technical resource for complex equipment failures, recurring maintenance issues, and reliability improvements.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in executing preventive maintenance programs, maintenance planning, and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Provide input on maintenance priorities and support efficient completion of assigned maintenance work.
- Share maintenance best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and safe operating procedures with technicians and equipment operators.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations and support corrective actions to help prevent recurring failures.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to improve equipment uptime, safety, and productivity.
- Support CMMS utilization by documenting work orders, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and identifying trends through maintenance data.
- Recommend and implement equipment modifications, process improvements, and reliability enhancements.
- Assist with spare parts management, inventory control, and vendor coordination as needed.
- Support equipment installations, commissioning activities, automation projects, and capital improvement initiatives.
- Champion maintenance safety by following and promoting OSHA requirements, LOTO procedures, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement in all aspects of maintenance operations.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not include supervisory tasks.
- This position is a swing/2nd shift typical hours are 1:45 PM - 11:15 PM. What You Bring
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience maintaining CNC machinery, automated equipment, conveyors, robotics, or similar manufacturing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, electrical diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems for work order management and maintenance tracking.
- Ability to share technical knowledge and support team best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA and LOTO requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, apprenticeship, or related certifications preferred.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds independently; heavier lifts require team assistance.
