Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician (Nights) to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems during night shifts. Your expertise will ensure our operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently around the clock. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in industrial maintenance and electrical systems. Objective of the Position Service and maintain intended equipment design and construction for established manufacturing purposes while adhering to strict Food Safety and Quality Assurance requirements. Tasks and Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including greasing, oiling, and checking chains, belts, conveying systems, and manufacturing system functions. Bearing greasing Oil and fluid level checks Chain and belt tension and condition assessments Inspection of sprockets, pins, gears, shears, and keepers Inspection of guards, brackets, rollers, and welds Maintain a working knowledge of the entire plant, including but not limited to: Unloading operations Product processing Product packaging Use power tools and hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance work. Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack as required. Perform basic fabrication using fabrication tools, welders, torches, and various materials. Safely handle and dispense maintenance chemicals, as well as cleaning and sanitizing chemicals. Perform basic operational maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues. Follow all work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform various duties across multiple departments as directed by supervisors and management. Be available to work day or night shifts and accommodate flexible scheduling as needed. Change shifts when required to provide coverage for vacations, illnesses, and other staffing needs to support business and customer requirements. Food Quality Monitor equipment to ensure it is in good working order. Perform routine preventive maintenance checks. Report any quality concerns or issues to the FS/QA Manager or other designated Company official. Food Safety Follow the Company cGMP program. Set up and perform the HIP operation. Follow Company policies and sanitation procedures when completing maintenance activities. Report any food safety issues to the FS/QA Manager or other designated Company official. Occupational Safety Follow all Company safety protocols and procedures. Report any identified safety risks to a Safety Committee member or management. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
