Job Description

Atlas Mechanical is looking for a detail-oriented HR/Payroll Specialist to support our growing team with payroll processing, benefits administration, recruitment, and a range of HR operations. Position Summary The HR/Payroll Specialist is responsible for full-cycle weekly payroll processing, prevailing wage and certified payroll compliance, benefits administration, recruitment support, and a range of HR functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with construction payroll requirements, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Payroll Process full weekly payroll cycles using Traqspera and Viewpoint Spectrum Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements Complete weekly federal and state reporting Process wage garnishment payments accurately and on schedule Prepare and submit certified payroll reports; communicate with project teams and general contractors regarding prevailing wage requirements Job setup within Spectrum HR Operations Administer employee benefits including retirement, health, dental, vision, and voluntary insurance plans Coordinate with benefit vendors on enrollments and employee changes Manage apprentice reporting and program administration Oversee leave and PTO tracking and management Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing employees Manage Indeed job postings and advertisements Lead recruitment efforts, including organizing and attending job fairs Establish and maintain partnerships to support ongoing talent acquisition Communications & Employee Engagement Partner with the HR Manager on company-wide updates and mass email communications Coordinate monthly newsletters across all company entities Maintain and update employee-facing media and communications Plan and manage company events and associated budgets (e.g., summer and winter parties) Qualifications Prior experience inpayroll processing, ideally within construction or a similarly regulated industry Prior experience with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and fringe benefit compliance strongly preferred Experience with Traqspera and/or Viewpoint Spectrum a plus Prior experience in human resources preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent written communication skills Discretion in handling confidential employee information
Pay:
$52,863.60 - $72,000.00 per year
