Job Description

The Maintenance Technicians overall responsibility it to perform routine and extensive grounds keeping and building maintenance duties at corporate locations; performs all preventive maintenance functions; responsible for janitorial tasks at Allenton business locations.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Perform facilities maintenance work as needed. Maintain tools and machinery in good condition. Completes preventative and scheduled maintenance on building equipment. Identifies parts needed for repairs and orders in a timely, cost effective manner. Communicates timeline for completion of major repairs to ensure timely service. Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums, sweep and mop floors, periodic carpet shampoo, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans. Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas. Clean and service restrooms. Responsible for lawn care including grass cutting & trim. Plants grass, flowers, trees and/or shrubs; prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth. Snow plows lots at Allenton facility. Removes snow and ice from building walkways and steps; may rake leaves, clean and sweep litter. Follows OSHA guidelines. Safely operates equipment according to the manufacturer's guidelines and in accordance with company safety rules. Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, positive, team-oriented and customer-focused attitude within and between co-workers, departments, and other warehouse locations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
GED, HSED or high school diploma. 1 - 3 years maintenance mechanic experience. Basic electrical knowledge Must have a Valid Class B driver's license Knowledge of general maintenance practices. Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, as well as interpret pencil sketches and diagrams Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Must be able to read, write and understand English.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
