Job Summary
STS Technical Services is hiring a CNC Maintenance Technician in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This role supports Trace-A-Matic by helping keep precision manufacturing equipment running safely, efficiently and consistently.
Trace-A-Matic is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to join its skilled maintenance team. In this role, you will support facility uptime by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, repairing CNC machinery and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Relocation assistance is available.
Position Overview
The CNC Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining production equipment and supporting day-to-day manufacturing requirements. This position troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems while working closely with maintenance, production and supervisory teams.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional with advanced CNC troubleshooting skills, strong mechanical repair knowledge and hands-on experience supporting precision machining operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Actively participate as part of the maintenance team to help increase facility runtime
Support day-to-day production requirements to keep machinery running and producing parts in constant supply
Execute work orders
Perform root cause analysis
Support equipment improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems on manufacturing equipment
Perform weekly, monthly and annual preventive maintenance tasks
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks as needed
Communicate equipment malfunctions and corrective actions to the oncoming shift
Communicate equipment issues and repair activity to department supervisors
Work safely to help keep yourself and your team incident free
Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to use calipers, depth gages and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues

Qualifications
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred
Broad knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance required
Broad knowledge of electrical repair and maintenance required
8 or more years of experience in a variety of maintenance trades required
Journeyman card holder preferred
Work Environment
This role works in a precision manufacturing environment supporting CNC machinery, production equipment and facility maintenance. Candidates should be comfortable working around machining operations, industrial equipment, overhead cranes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical components and active production areas.
Authorization
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
