A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and repair support for company facilities, production areas, quality, and R&D operations. This position is responsible for maintaining safe, reliable, and functional buildings and equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, corrective repairs, and facility improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Corrective Maintenance Perform skilled mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs. Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues and implement appropriate corrective actions. Identify and correct potential safety hazards to help prevent workplace injuries and operational disruptions. Document and close maintenance work orders accurately using SAP-PM GUI and Fiori . Preventive Maintenance Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment, buildings, and facility systems. Follow established maintenance procedures and recommend updates when necessary. Document completed maintenance activities and ensure work orders are properly closed in SAP-PM. Assist with training personnel on equipment and maintenance procedures when required. Facilities & Engineering Support Support Facilities, Engineering, and R&D teams with equipment-related projects and facility improvements. Provide skilled hands-on support for installation, modification, repair, and maintenance activities. Develop and maintain an inventory of critical equipment spare parts. Project & Vendor Coordination Coordinate small maintenance and facility projects with contractors and external vendors. Monitor contractor activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to requirements. Qualifications Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Industrial/Electrical Technology, Facilities or Equipment Maintenance , or a related field; OR Equivalent trade school certification; OR Equivalent combination of education and extensive hands-on maintenance experience. 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical maintenance, or related skilled trades. Broad knowledge of multiple maintenance trades. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance activities. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to workplace safety. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); SAP-PM experience is a plus . Ability to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
