2nd shift (flexible 8 hour shifts) Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd shift plays a key role in keeping production operations running safely and efficiently across two facilities. This position focuses on aligning, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment, while collaborating closely with other maintenance team members and supporting production staff in the safe use of equipment. Responsibilities Align and calibrate machinery and equipment components to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe operation. Dismantle equipment when necessary for repair, maintenance, or inspection, and reassemble it correctly and on schedule. Work with leadership and contracted electricians to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and related systems. Communicate and collaborate with the 1st shift maintenance team to ensure a seamless transition between shifts and consistent maintenance coverage. Direct production workers in the safe and proper use of equipment, providing guidance to prevent misuse and support safe work practices. Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs across two facilities, responding to issues promptly and helping to minimize downtime. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment failures and extend the life of machinery. Use basic electrical knowledge to assist with troubleshooting and repair of electrical components associated with production equipment. Document maintenance activities as required to support traceability, compliance, and continuous improvement. Essential Skills At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Hands-on experience as a maintenance mechanic or maintenance technician working with production machinery. Strong mechanical aptitude with proven experience in equipment repair, adjustment, and preventive maintenance. Basic electrical knowledge, including the ability to assist with electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with diverse team members. Ability to work effectively on 2nd shift and coordinate with other shifts to ensure continuity of maintenance activities. Strong attention to safety and the ability to direct others in safe equipment use. Additional Skills & Qualifications Extruder experience is a plus and will be highly valued in this role. Experience working in a GMP or similarly regulated production environment is beneficial. Comfort working across multiple facilities and adapting to different equipment and layouts. Ability to collaborate with external contractors, such as electricians, to complete complex repairs. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development related to maintenance and safety. Why Work Here? Work is performed on 2nd shift in industrial facilities that house production machinery and related equipment, requiring regular movement around the plant, interaction with production staff, and hands-on work with mechanical and electrical systems. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Cedarburg, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
