Facility Maintenance Technician Elkhorn, WI 53121 From $18 an hour - Full-time From $18 an hour - Full-time Are you looking for a new career opportunity? Do you want to truly make a difference every day? VIP Services is in need of a dependable, Full-Time, Entry-Level Facility Maintenance Technician on our Rest Area Maintenance (RAM) team. We have one full-time opening based out of our Elkhorn, WI location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and performing a wide variety of tasks. This is also a great opportunity for the right candidate to build on their skills. This position's responsibilities include: Indoor and outdoor tasks across multiple locations primarily supporting the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and other state and federal contracts. General facility maintenance tasks ex. furnace filter replacements, basic lawn care & landscaping, repair & servicing of lawn tractors & air compressors, blade sharpening, light duty electrical tasks, minor concrete & asphalt repairs, general custodial duties including restroom cleaning. Some early start times will be required for snow removal tasks. Successful candidates will be able to maintain accurate maintenance logs, spreadsheets, and computer-generated reports, be able to follow work orders and schedules in a responsible and efficient manner. The ideal candidates will have experience working with adults with disabilities, an ability to work independently, and have the skills to train people in janitorial functions and maintain a safe environment for travelers and workers. Hours are generally Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm; some weekend coverage and early start times during winter are required. To join the VIP Services team, you must pass a pre-employment caregiver & criminal background check. Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally, and have a valid driver's license.
