6:00am-2:00pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Germantown, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment
- Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test repairs, and make necessary adjustments
- Perform a variety of facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, HVAC, and general janitorial work
- Complete preventive maintenance activities and support ongoing PM programs to reduce downtime and maintain equipment reliability
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively across a range of maintenance disciplines
- Read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions, and specifications to complete maintenance and repair work accurately
- Support plant layout changes, machine moves, small fabrication projects, and general building upkeep as needed
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform most of the following: carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, masonry, machine repair, welding, plant layout, painting, HVAC, and janitorial work
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in maintenance and facility repair work
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use sound judgment when diagnosing and resolving issues
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with the ability to work independently and follow through on projects
- Able to work with a sense of urgency while managing diversified duties in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions, and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
