Hartland, Wisconsin, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Hartland, Wisconsin. Overview This role involves performing maintenance activities across multiple sites, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general handyman tasks. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and ensuring smooth building operations in a critical environment. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Respond to various issues and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime.
Conduct building inspections and manage work orders efficiently.
Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment including HVAC units, pumps, motors, and boilers.
Inspect roofs, drains, doors, and access control equipment, and conduct preventative maintenance.
Assist with roof repairs, snow and ground maintenance, and touch-up painting and drywall patching.
Monitor utility usage, manage energy consumption, and oversee safety procedures.
Maintain logs of maintenance activities and record issues systematically.
Assist with building operations, procure bids, and manage onsite staff and contractors.
Perform rounds, check temperatures, and ensure building security and cleanliness. Qualifications Prior experience in building maintenance or related fields is a plus but not necessary.
General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work at heights up to 30 feet safely.
Reliable transportation and valid driver license required.
Ability to follow procedures, work independently or in a team, and handle diverse shifts—including evenings, weekends, and overtime.
Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and follow SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and willingness to accept ongoing training.
Punctuality and safety compliance are mandatory. Preferred Qualifications Experience with HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting (up to 480V), and general maintenance.
