Are you with us?!? Ahlstrom is seeking an experienced Millwright (Maintenance Mechanic) at our Nicolet Mill in De Pere, Wisconsin. In this position you are responsible for performing a variety or mechanical maintenance work within a manufacturing environment. We provide you with one year of hands-on training rotating through all areas of the department and working directly with our skilled craftsmen and production Team Members.

17 per hour starting pay for Journeyman or well-qualified candidates $1,300 retention bonus within 9 months $3.75/hour weekend shift premium $1.10/hour weekday night shift premium Doubletime pay on 11 holidays Overtime opportunities Vacation based on experience Profit sharing program Immediate medical, dental, vision and 401k benefits Paid lunch breaks and on-site gym Responsibilities Changing all types of bearings, power transmission belts, roller chains, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic components, electric motors, gearboxes, paper machine rolls and centrifugal pumps. Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping, and steam systems, overhead hoists, and cranes. Repairing piping systems and welding. Maintenance of paper mill systems such as water, compressed air, boilers, steam, paper machines, super calenders, converting, wrapping, shipping, and buildings.
Requirements:
Journeyman Millwright card or equivalent experience Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and background check Able to provide vacation coverage on varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays once required training and certification is complete. Possibility of working extended hours for shut downs and outages Must be able to work safely Ability to work at heights Basic computer skills Experience using lathes and mills is a plus Ability to work well with a team Able to use hand and power tools, ladders, cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment; read and comprehend technical manuals and work orders; demonstrate manual dexterity, mental acuity, ability to lift up to 65 lbs unassisted and perform physical work within a manufacturing environment.
