This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving maintenance issues, and taking pride in keeping homes and communities in excellent condition.
Responsibilities:
Complete general maintenance and repairs in apartment homes, common areas, building systems, and grounds. Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues. Prepare units for new residents through turnovers and make-ready work. Perform preventive maintenance to support safe and efficient operations. Maintain tools, shop organization, and supply inventory. Communicate completed work, follow-up needs, and maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Experience with maintenance operations in multi-family housing preferred. Ability to complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs. Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. Positive attitude and ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Ability to teach or be taught Reliable, insured, and licensed vehicle required. Valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record required. Ability to provide and use basic hand tools. Ability to lift heavy objects, climb a ladder/use stairs, bend at the waist and work on knees, reach overhead, and work ioutdoors in varying weather conditions. HVAC certification is a plus, but not required. Must live within 30 minutes of Madison's west side due to on-call rotation, or be willing to relocate.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus on-call rotation.
