Job Description

Job Summary Ryden Marine is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dock & Boat Lift Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, outdoor position focused on the installation, removal, delivery, repair, and maintenance of docks and boat lifts throughout the Minocqua and surrounding Northwoods area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, working with their hands, and being part of a team. Marine, construction, mechanical, or equipment experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Install and remove docks and boat lifts at customer properties Deliver and assemble new docks, lifts, and related waterfront equipment Level, adjust, and properly position docks and boat lifts Install and remove boat lift canopies Diagnose and repair boat lifts, docks, winches, cables, bunks, wheels, and related components Assist the barge operator with dock and boat lift installation, removal, transportation, and other waterfront projects Help load, secure, unload, and position docks, lifts, and equipment on the barge Load, unload, and safely transport equipment Operate trucks, trailers, ATVs/UTVs, and other equipment as needed Work from shore, docks, boats, barges, and in the water Maintain tools, equipment, trucks, trailers, and work areas Keep jobsites clean and organized Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers Follow company procedures and safe work practices Assist with other marine service and dealership operations as needed Qualifications Valid driver's license and good driving record Dependable and able to arrive on time Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment Comfortable working in and around water and on barges Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools Ability to work effectively as part of a crew Positive attitude and strong work ethic Previous dock, boat lift, marine, construction, landscaping, mechanical, or equipment experience is a plus but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates. Spring and fall are our busiest periods due to seasonal dock and boat lift installation and removal. Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to: Regularly lift and carry 50+ lbs. Perform repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying Work on uneven terrain and waterfront properties Work in water and varying weather conditions Work safely on docks, boats, and barges Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday About Ryden Marine Ryden Marine is a locally operated marine dealership serving the Minocqua and surrounding Northwoods area.
