Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the oversight of facilities including, but not limited to, maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and vehicles.
Major Responsibilities:
Complies with company policies related to the safe work practices for the purposes of operating, repairing and maintaining equipment (example: Lock out/tag out procedures).
Conducts preventative maintenance activities and maintains an appropriate level of inventory for replacement components to keep machinery, buildings, and vehicles in good working condition.
Maintains a service and maintenance record of all equipment, buildings, grounds, and vehicles.
Ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition to prevent adverse injury due to machine malfunction or breakdown.
Works with operators on routine/daily maintenance requirements for all equipment.
Works with outside contractors (under the direction of the maintenance supervisor) to coordinate efforts on projects relating to buildings, grounds, equipment and vehicles that are outside of our internal capabilities.
Ensures the appropriate usage and handling of tools and repair equipment.
Maintains a professional work area which is clean and organized.
Participates in safety audits of all facilities and is responsible for correcting any items deemed necessary.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
Performs all other duties and responsibilities, as required. Required Education / Experience /
Skills:
One-year certificate from college or technical school. or three to six months related experience and/or training. or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Schedule/Hours 1st
Shift:
7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F, flexible, some OT may be required.
•May have a call from 2nd shift or a Saturday requiring help if a machine goes down. Very rare. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage
