Facilities Maintenance Technician - Corporate Office We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of a professional corporate office facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This is a hands-on facilities position for someone with experience maintaining commercial, corporate, office, institutional, or similar facilities . The ideal candidate is comfortable handling routine building repairs and preventative maintenance while also coordinating with outside contractors and specialized service vendors when work requires additional expertise. This position is not focused on production machinery or manufacturing equipment maintenance . Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the corporate facility. Handle general building maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, lighting and other minor repairs . Perform preventative maintenance and identify facility issues before they become larger problems. Monitor the overall condition of the building, grounds and facility systems. Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance or repair work. Identify qualified vendors for services such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, snow removal and other facility needs. Obtain and review vendor bids and assist management with vendor selection. Meet contractors onsite, walk them through the facility and clearly explain work requirements. Monitor contractor work to ensure projects are completed appropriately and on schedule. Coordinate scheduled inspections, maintenance and service of facility equipment and building systems. Assist with office furniture moves, room setups and other facility projects. Replace light bulbs, perform minor cleaning or cleanup related to maintenance work and assist with general building upkeep as necessary. Assist with exterior building and grounds maintenance. Coordinate snow and ice removal and apply salt to sidewalks or other areas when necessary. Maintain basic records of maintenance activities, repairs and vendor services. Respond to facility maintenance requests from employees and management. Perform other facility-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial building, corporate facility, office building, institutional or similar facility maintenance required. Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repair. Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repair work . Ability to recognize when a repair can be completed internally versus when a licensed or specialized contractor is required. Experience working with and overseeing outside service vendors strongly preferred. Familiarity with local contractors and facility service providers is a plus. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple facility needs. Comfortable using email, basic computer programs and electronic maintenance records. Valid driver's license required. Ability to perform occasional lifting, bending, climbing and other physical activities associated with facility maintenance. What We're Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who have maintained a corporate headquarters, commercial office building, medical or professional office facility, school/university facility, hotel, municipal building or other professionally maintained commercial property . Candidates whose experience is primarily apartment turnover, residential property maintenance or manufacturing machinery maintenance may not be the best match for this position. Compensation $80,000-$90,000 per year , based on experience. This is an opportunity for an experienced facilities professional who enjoys being hands-on while also taking ownership of building maintenance, outside contractors and the overall condition of a professional corporate facility.
