Michael's Signs Inc. is a custom sign company specializing in the design, fabrication and installation of high-quality signage for businesses, organizations and commercial properties. We are looking for a talented, dependable and detail-oriented Graphic Designer / Sign Production Specialist who enjoys both creative design and hands-on production.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer / Sign Production Specialist creates accurate, production-ready artwork and assists with the fabrication and finishing of custom signs. This is a hands-on position where creativity and craftsmanship come together, taking projects from concept through production and completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GRAPHIC DESIGN

Create, modify and prepare production-ready artwork and layouts for custom signs, graphics and displays. Develop signage concepts based on customer specifications, measurements and project requirements. Prepare customer proofs, make revisions and ensure final artwork is approved and ready for production. Ensure proper sizing, proportions, colors, fonts and layouts while maintaining brand consistency. Prepare files for digital printing, vinyl cutting, routing and other production processes. Maintain organized customer artwork and production files.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SIGN PRODUCTION

Operate digital printers, vinyl cutters, laminators and other sign-production equipment. Prepare completed signs for delivery and installation. Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality and workmanship.

PROJECT & TEAM SUPPORT

Work closely with sales, estimating, production and installation teams. Review job specifications and measurements before production begins. Meet production schedules and project deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. Follow established safety and quality-control procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred . Strong understanding of typography, layout, color and graphic-design principles. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy . Ability to read measurements and dimensions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Dependable, punctual and willing to learn. Comfortable working with computers, tools, materials and production equipment. Ability to stand, bend, lift and move sign materials when required. Previous experience in signs, printing, graphics, fabrication or production is a plus but not required for the right candidate. Training will be provided to someone with strong design skills and a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
