Job Description

Overview Indianhead Glass, Inc. is hiring a full time technician for our Rice Lake , WI location . This role requires strong Customer Service skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and proficiency with hand and power tools is necessary. As a Glass Technician you will be responsible for installing glass fixtures in various settings. As a Garage Door Technician you will assist with garage door repair and installation ensuring high-quality workmanship and adhering to safety standards. No experience required, construction experience a plus. Must have a clean driving record. This is a great opportunity for a self motivated individual to learn a valuable trade in residential and commercial glass.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation:
Installing windows, mirrors, shower doors, and other glass products in residential and commercial settings. Assisting with Garage door and operator service and installation.
Cutting and Measuring:
Precisely measuring and cutting glass to fit specific dimensions and shapes, often using specialized tools.
Framing and Mounting:
Installing glass into frames using various methods including clips, moldings, or fasteners.
Sealing:
Using putty, weather seal, or other materials to ensure proper sealing of joints and edges.
Repair and Replacement:
Removing and replacing broken or damaged glass in windows, mirrors, and other applications.
Quality Control:
Ensuring that installations are accurate, properly aligned, and meet safety standards.
Customer Interaction:
Consulting with customers to determine project requirements, providing estimates, and explaining installation procedures.
Heavy Lifting:
Lifting and maneuvering large, heavy pieces of glass and tools.
Safety:

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
