Job Description

Sussex Area, WI Sussex Area Full Time We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations across a multi-site residential portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and taking pride in keeping apartment homes safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be a key part of the on-site team—responding to service requests, performing preventative maintenance, supporting capital projects, and contributing to a positive living experience for our residents. Duties to
Include:
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Complete work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and assigned projects efficiently and with attention to quality.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects and unit turns as needed.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency maintenance situations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs completed, inspections, and materials used.
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and applicable local and state building codes.
  • Communicate effectively with property manager and residents to support daily operations and ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Perform snow removal duties, including shoveling, applying ice melt, and keeping walkways and entrances safe during winter months.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience; multi-site experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong working knowledge of: Plumbing, HVAC systems, Electrical systems, General carpentry.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required; must be able to travel between properties.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Compensation:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour.
