The Operations Technician plays an essential role in the daily operations of our plant facilities. This position requires a motivated, self-driven individual who can perform a variety of tasks, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operating various machinery. The successful candidate will work autonomously and contribute to the overall success of the Operations team. Experience in maintenance, farming, or industrial operations is highly valued.Key Responsibilities:
Self-Motivation & Autonomy:
Must be self-driven and able to follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision.Problem-Solving:
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to identify and resolve problems involving various variables in random situations.Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on compression station engines and equipment.Mechanical Knowledge:
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and determine the root cause of failures, taking corrective action as needed.Safety Compliance:
Follow site-specific safety protocols and adhere to OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.Communication:
Communicate regularly with all levels of management to ensure smooth operations and accurate documentation.Physical Requirements:
Regularly bend, stoop, move between levels, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to transport loads up to 75 lbs manually.Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain various equipment, such as UTV, ATV, forklift, skid steer, snowplow, etc.Upkeep & Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized plant, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.On-Call & Weekend Availability:
Be available for limited weekend hours and emergency call-ins as needed.Desired Skills:
Mechanical & Electrical Knowledge:
Familiarity with electrical equipment and motor controls, including starting, shutting down, and locking out electrical systems.Regulatory Knowledge:
Understanding of permits and regulations pertaining to the facility and ensuring continuous compliance with safety standards.Basic Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Strong Communication Skills:
Verbal and written communication, as well as strong organizational skills.Team Collaboration:
Ability to interact effectively and positively in a team environment.Minimum Requirements:
Experience in maintenance, farming, natural gas, chemical plant operations, industrial gas operations, and/or power plant operations is a plus. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Willingness to work outdoors up to 75% of each workday.Benefits:
