Job Title:
Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. You will handle both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems to guarantee a continuous supply of necessary utilities for operation. Responsibilities Complete maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems. Be readily available for emergency repairs and breakdown situations. Analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders. Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high quality standards. Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees to inform them of any issues affecting production efficiency. Report unsafe conditions and food safety violations. Comply with HACCP and GMP protocols for production. Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Maintain safe work practices and ensure good housekeeping in the work area. Perform additional tasks as negotiated with the supervisor. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Pull wire, terminate circuits, troubleshoot PLCs (I/O, not programs), and limit switches. Essential Skills Electrical and ammonia experience. Mechanical aptitude and preventive maintenance skills. Experience in troubleshooting PLCs, pneumatics, and schematics. 3+ years of maintenance experience in a GMP regulated environment. 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications Blueprint reading experience and electrical schematics are a plus. Why Work Here? Join our family-oriented team with a total of 50 employees. Work Environment Work in a GMP environment where candidates will wear hair nets or beard nets throughout the facility. Experience diverse temperature conditions with refrigerated packaging lines and shipping storage areas, while the blow mold area remains relatively hot. 3rd Shift hours are 8:00pm - 6:00am, with varying days from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
