We're looking for an experienced Window & Door Installer who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys transforming homes with premium replacement products. If you're an installer who believes every detail matters—from the first measurement to the final bead of caulk—we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do As a Window & Door Installer, you'll install premium replacement windows and exterior doors in occupied residential homes while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Install replacement windows, patio doors, entry doors, storm doors, and related exterior products.
- Remove existing windows and doors while protecting the customer's home and property.
- Prepare rough openings and perform any necessary framing modifications.
- Install products according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
- Install insulation, flashing systems, weather barriers, sealants, and moisture protection.
- Fabricate and install custom aluminum trim and exterior capping using a portable sheet metal brake.
- Perform interior and exterior finish carpentry, including casing, extension jambs, stool and apron installation, trim, and final adjustments.
- Ensure windows and doors operate properly by adjusting hardware, locks, weatherstripping, and moving components.
- Identify and resolve field installation challenges while maintaining structural integrity and product performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the installation.
- Load, unload, and safely transport windows, doors, and materials.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining Callen's standards for quality and customer satisfaction. Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess many of the following:
- Experience installing residential replacement windows and exterior doors.
- Strong finish carpentry skills.
- Experience operating a portable sheet metal brake to fabricate custom aluminum trim and exterior capping.
- Ability to bend, cut, fit, and install aluminum trim coil for professional finished installations.
- Knowledge of residential construction methods and building envelope principles.
- Understanding of proper flashing, waterproofing, air sealing, and moisture management techniques.
- Ability to read work orders, installation instructions, and construction drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, lasers, levels, and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and make sound field decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Experience Experience installing premium replacement products such as:
- Infinity from Marvin Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds; heavier products with team assistance.
- Work from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms.
- Frequently kneel, bend, climb, crouch, lift, carry, and reach throughout the workday.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying Wisconsin weather conditions.
