Residential Community Location:
Wauwatosa, WI Pay Range:
$20 - $35 per hour depending on experience Keep Our Community Running at Its Best Do you enjoy diagnosing problems, fixing issues, and helping create a comfortable living environment for residents? We are seeking a dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of our residential community in Wauwatosa. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys a variety of maintenance responsibilities. What You'll Do Prepare apartment homes for new move-ins by completing maintenance and repair work. Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner. Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property. Troubleshoot and repair residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues. Complete drywall repairs, painting, door and lock maintenance, and fixture replacements. Inspect community amenities and common areas to ensure they remain safe and well-maintained. Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal and ice management. Participate in the rotating on-call schedule for emergency maintenance needs. Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records. Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed. Qualifications Required Skills & Knowledge Experience performing maintenance in apartment communities, residential properties, hotels, or similar environments. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and general carpentry. Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently. Familiarity with work order systems and preventative maintenance programs. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests while maintaining quality standards. Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Reliable transportation and auto insurance. Basic hand tools required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
