Residential Service Technician |
Apartment Maintenance Location:
Wauwatosa, WI Pay Range:
$20 - $35 per hour Build a Career Where Your Skills Matter Every day brings something different in apartment maintenance. From preparing homes for new residents to keeping building systems operating properly, your work directly impacts the resident experience. We are looking for a Residential Service Technician who is motivated, mechanically inclined, and ready to contribute to a well-maintained apartment community in Wauwatosa. Responsibilities Complete apartment turns, inspections, and repair projects. Diagnose and resolve service requests involving plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC components, and building fixtures. Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Repair walls, doors, cabinetry, flooring transitions, and general interior finishes. Maintain curb appeal by assisting with grounds and common area upkeep. Address emergency maintenance situations as part of an on-call rotation. Support winter weather response, including snow and ice removal when necessary. Ensure all completed work meets community standards and safety guidelines. Track completed work orders and inventory usage. Provide professional interactions with residents, vendors, and team members. What We're Looking For Technical Knowledge Experience servicing apartment homes or residential properties preferred. Knowledge of residential plumbing systems, electrical components, appliance troubleshooting, and basic HVAC maintenance. Ability to use maintenance equipment and hand tools safely and effectively. Understanding of preventative maintenance practices and property inspections. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Trade school, maintenance certifications, or related technical training is a plus. Requirements Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history. Personal tools for routine maintenance tasks. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Why Join Our Team?
