Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Garage Door Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of garage doors and related systems. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, and tracks with precision and attention to detail Conduct electrical work related to garage door systems, including wiring sensors and control panels Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various installation and repair tasks Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and building codes to ensure compliance during installations Fabricate or modify parts as needed using welding, metal stud framing, or other fabrication techniques Perform heavy lifting of doors and components safely while adhering to safety protocols Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs or installations clearly and professionally Skills Mechanical knowledge with experience in door installation, hanging, and repair is preferred but not required. On the job training provided. Construction site experience with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately preferred but not required. Experience with electrical work including wiring sensors, switches, and control units for garage doors preferred but not required. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills; power tools like saws and grinders; welding knowledge is a preferred but not required. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics for precise fabrication or installation tasks Familiarity with locksmithing techniques for lock installation or repairs on garage doors preferred but not required. Previous remodeling experience including framing with metal studs or wood for door openings preferred but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in mechanical repairs or system troubleshooting Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to deliver top-tier service!
