Job Description

Job Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance at all RCCAA facilities. This position ensures that agency properties, equipment, and grounds are maintained in a safe, functional, and professional manner while supporting the overall mission of RCCAA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accurately complete and submit timesheets and required documentation in a timely manner. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on agency facilities, equipment, and grounds. Inspect facilities to identify maintenance issues, safety concerns, and repair needs. Complete and submit purchase requisitions and obtain required approvals prior to making purchases. Maintain regular communication with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding maintenance projects, facility concerns, and work progress. Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Assist with facility improvements, renovations, and special projects as assigned. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Interact professionally and courteously with clients, visitors, coworkers, vendors, and the public. Follow all agency policies, procedures, safety regulations, and work rules. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Accept constructive feedback and implement recommendations for improvement. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of general building maintenance, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance practices. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and grounds maintenance. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical labor as required. Familiarity with the Beckley, West Virginia area preferred. Valid West Virginia Driver's License. Reliable transportation and proof of minimum automobile liability insurance as required by law. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background investigation.

• Supervision and Performance Evaluation The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. A performance evaluation will be conducted at the completion of the introductory 90-day employment period and annually thereafter. Additional evaluations may be conducted as needed to assess performance, provide feedback, and support professional development. Pay:
