About Us:
Sunny Brae Properties is a growing real estate company based in Huntington, dedicated to transforming properties into quality homes for our community. With a range of property locations, sizes and budgets, we cater to a variety of tenant needs. Our active construction division also plays a pivotal role in renovating properties, ensuring they meet our high standards. We are looking for a skilled and reliable maintenance technician to join our maintenance department. The primary responsibility for this position is to preserve and improve the condition and functionality of our properties. Duties will include conducting quality assessments, scheduling and performing repairs, interacting with tenants and developing preventative maintenance procedures. Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of most typical maintenance requirements, procedures, tools as well as appliances and building systems. To excel in this position, you must be a problem-solver with strong communication and organizational skills.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues. Repair faulty equipment in units and damaged structures. Implement all preventative maintenance procedures. Manage heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Plan and schedule repairs. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard. Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, drywall, paint and any other task needed to make repairs. Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and smart phone. Technology proficiency to track tasks, projects, tenants, materials and systems on laptops and phones. Experience in HVAC systems and appliances is a major plus: high end of the hourly rate A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems. Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques. Physically capable and available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Effective problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of using online spreadsheets and other forms of technology related to the record keeping of tasks.
