Job Description
Sign Technician Alley Cat Signs About the Job Alley Cat Signs is looking for a dependable, motivated Sign Technician to join our team. This position involves the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of commercial signs and graphics. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable working with tools, and takes pride in producing quality work. Experience in the sign industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Install interior and exterior signs at commercial and residential locations Fabricate and assemble signs using various materials and equipment Install vinyl graphics, lettering, decals, and other signage Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Perform sign repairs, maintenance, and replacements Assist with electrical sign installation and troubleshooting Work from measurements, drawings, layouts, and work orders Operate lifts, ladders, and other installation equipment as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Represent Alley Cat Signs professionally while working at customer locations Follow all company safety procedures and installation standards Qualifications Previous sign, construction, electrical, welding, carpentry, or installation experience is a plus Comfortable working with hand and power tools Ability to read measurements and basic drawings Ability to work at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and customer-service skills Ability to safely lift and carry materials and equipment What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who shows up, works hard, learns quickly, and takes pride in their work . If you're mechanically inclined and enjoy seeing a project go from an idea to a finished product, this could be a great fit. Sign industry experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Hours are Monday-Friday 9a-5p, never work weekends.
