About the Opportunity A well-established industrial organization is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance operations and new projects at a growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership to mechanical and maintenance personnel while ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance compliance, and efficient plant operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of mechanics, maintenance technicians and contractors. Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment issues. Ensure equipment uptime and reliability while minimizing downtime. Coordinate maintenance shutdowns, repairs, and capital improvement projects. Monitor maintenance KPIs, work orders, and equipment performance. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Manage inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies. Train, coach, and develop maintenance team members. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve plant efficiency. Qualifications Required Red Seal Millwright, Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma, or equivalent mechanical trade experience. 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, industrial, mining, or processing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Experience leading planned maintenance projects, repairs and new investments. Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Experience with CMMS software Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems.
