•Looking for an engineer available for 2 days a week

•Schedule is flexible The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the maintenance services and repair of equipment as assigned to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and the staff of the hotel according to all brand standards. He/she is also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests, and fixing equipment as needed. He/she is also responsible for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner and performing trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing etc. He/she is also expected to assist in cleaning and assisting all staff members with work such as emptying garbage cans throughout the hotel, stocking pool towels and setting up roll aways beds in guest rooms.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with operations, maintenance and repair of equipment. Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs etc. Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, exhaust fans, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC units in guestrooms, meeting rooms, and swimming pool area. Perform plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repairs, monitor energy conservation, repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request. Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause - determine emergency status and report to the Front Desk with findings. Perform any other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
