Building Maintenance Technician - Sharpe Hospital

Job Description

General Description - Performs skilled electrical work in the installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment and wiring used in communication, light and power systems. Install and maintain security detection, fire alarm systems, distribution systems, cable systems, air conditioning systems, lighting fixtures, ballasts and time clocks. Remove, disassemble, repair or replace electrical units and components such as motors, generators, voltage regulators, control panels, fuses, circuit breakers, switches, wiring and pumps. Inspect for damage, test, analyze and repair electrical circuits, tools and equipment. Plan layout, methods, materials, scope of work and sequence of operations. Other related job duties as required. Performs related duties as required. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Schedules are subject to change per operational needs of the hospital. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and a breath analysis drug test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Applicants selected must successfully complete a background check. INDLP Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Licensure/Certifications:
May require specific licensure/certifications based on assignment.
Experience:
One (1) years of full time or equivalent part-time experience in performing maintenance and repair work in one or more building maintenance trades (e.g., electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting drywall).

$31,350.00 - $52,250.00 per year
