Apartment Maintenance Technician Bear River Apartments - Evanston, Wyoming Harman Property Management Group Bear River Apartments is looking for a dependable, motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Evanston, Wyoming. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with people, and wants to play an important role in maintaining and improving our apartment community. This is a hands-on position with a variety of responsibilities, including apartment maintenance, unit turns, painting, grounds upkeep, preventative maintenance, and resident work orders. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and problem solver and team player who can identify what needs to be done, prioritize their work, and help us keep apartments and the property looking their best. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude who understands that providing great customer service to our residents is an important part of property maintenance. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the apartment community Complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Help turn vacant apartments quickly and efficiently so they are ready for new residents Perform painting, drywall patching, caulking, minor carpentry, fixture replacement, and other general repairs Perform basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs within experience and qualifications Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, property cleanup, and maintaining strong curb appeal Inspect vacant units and identify repairs or improvements needed before move-in Perform preventative maintenance and help identify potential problems before they become larger repairs Assist with snow removal and seasonal property needs Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supplies in an organized manner Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, coworkers, vendors, and management Work with the Maintenance Supervisor and management team to prioritize work orders, unit turns, property improvements, and other projects Assist with other property maintenance needs as they arise What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has experience in apartment maintenance, construction, remodeling, handyman work, facilities maintenance, or a related field Has a broad range of general maintenance skills Can work independently while also taking direction and working as part of a team Understands the importance of completing work efficiently and moving on to the next priority Takes pride in doing quality work and leaving the work area clean Is dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Has a positive, professional attitude Provides friendly and respectful customer service to residents Is willing to learn and grow in areas where they may have less experience Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation You do not need to be an expert in every trade. We are looking for a well-rounded maintenance professional who knows how to handle everyday property maintenance and repairs and recognizes when specialized work should be referred to an outside contractor. Physical Requirements This position requires regular walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, working indoors and outdoors, using hand and power tools, and lifting and carrying materials and equipment associated with apartment maintenance.
