Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading hospitality property. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the comfort, safety, and functionality of the hotel's facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all building systems operate efficiently, guest rooms and public areas are well-maintained, and the property remains in top condition. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facilities equipment using schematics, hand tools, and diagnostic devices such as ohmmeters. Conduct repairs involving welding, carpentry, painting, and other maintenance tasks to uphold the property's aesthetic standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar tools. Supervise or assist with projects involving electrical work, HVAC system repairs, plumbing system maintenance, or building interior updates. Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with professionalism and a focus on customer service. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations during maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance, repair operations (MRO), or a related field within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential settings. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and electrical equipment repair is essential. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of HVAC systems including repair and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning units. Ability to read technical schematics and building plans; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of supervising or leading maintenance teams when needed. Experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair; residential painting and carpentry skills are advantageous. Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
