In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of telecommunications, security, data, and audio-visual systems. Responsibilities Install and configure low voltage systems including CCTV cameras, fiber optic cabling, Ethernet networks, VoIP telephony, and access control systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system setup. Perform fiber splicing, cable routing, and terminations using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications. Conduct field service visits for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of installed systems in commercial or residential settings. Test electrical connections using ohmmeters and other testing equipment to verify system integrity and performance. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure installations meet NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and customer expectations. Document installation processes, system configurations, and service reports accurately for record-keeping and future reference. Requirements Proven experience as a Low Voltage Installer or Service Technician in telecommunications or electrical systems or a similar field. Strong knowledge of computer networking including LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and network installation practices. Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, fiber splicing, telephony (including Avaya), VoIP solutions, and telecommunication wiring standards. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams confidently. Proficiency with hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, drills, power saws, and testing devices like ohmmeters. Electrical experience with NEC compliance is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel for field service assignments as needed.
