Low Voltage Cable Technician Description:
We are seeking a motivated Low Voltage Cable Technician with hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing structured cabling systems across diverse environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data cabling, fiber optics, and surveillance systems. Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems (CAT6, fiber optic, coaxial, etc.) Perform cable pulling, termination, and punchdown tasks Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings up to 2,000,000 sq ft Drill through concrete walls and perform limited conduit work Operate aerial lifts such as boom lifts and scissor lifts to access elevated work areas safely Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocolsQualifications:
Entry-level to intermediate experience in low voltage cabling Familiarity with CAT6 cabling, fiber optics, and surveillance systems Ability to work in various environments and building types Experience working on aerial lifts (boom and scissor lifts) OSHA10 Certification required Aerial Lift Certification required Fall Protection Certification requiredSkills:
Structured cabling Cable pulling and installation Low voltage systems Punchdown and termination techniques Troubleshooting and maintenance Aerial lift operation Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hesperia, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
