Card Access Control Technician (experienced)

JOB DESCRIPTION LS1

is looking for a technician who has experience with installing, programming and networking Card Access Door Control Systems . Must have experience in drilling doors, installing maglocks, wiring card readers, use hammer drill, run/ terminate/dress/ label cables, wire up power to door. Familiar with banana cable, Push bar and Rex. Must be knowleagable in General understanding of electronics wiring systems. On service assignments you will meet with customer, locate and troubleshoot equipment or wiring, adjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation, and fill out the necessary documentation. Careful attention to detail and follow-through skills are essential. Communication and paperwork needs to be clear and concise. Installation assignments will require you to read work order and plans, meet with customer, explain the installation to the customer, install the system in a timely manner, run the necessary tests, and fill out the necessary documentation. When not doing card access control systems you will be installing/ terminnating/testing/labeling cat6 cables, cameras, installing faceplates and internet systems in offices. Work is done usually in Downtown Los Angeles, Irvine and the valley - but will require you to travel out of state (NV/TN for example) or outside of Los Angeles a few times a year. Emergency and maintenance work may require overtime, night work, and/or week-ends. We try our best not to schedule during those times but maintenance times usually require us to schedule during those times, particularly 11 pm - 6 am on those occasions.

IDEAL APPLICANT

Has an excellent driving record Installing/ Programming / Networking experience (Access Control, CCTV, etc), minimum 1 year. Experience with Brivo card access control systems, eagle eye and avigilon cameras A PLUS. Has good communication skills Professional and courteous Has good customer service skills Has reliable transportation Dependable and on-time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical Demands:

The employee may require the ability to do the following: Lift 50 lbs from ground and pull 50 lbs of force. Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling. Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lb tool belt. Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires. Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms
