Growth opportunities On-the-job training Our company is looking for a Fiber Technician with a flair for technical skills and the ability to accomplish tasks independently. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for communication technology and be eager to learn about new technologies. Experience in the installation of Fiber Optic Components, Copper Cable and Server Room/IDF Buildouts are what we are looking for: including: cable pulling, termination, testing and documentation in high-rise buildings and commercial/industrial environments. Our services have expanded to include audio/video systems, video surveillance and sound masking systems. We are always looking for technicians with new skills that we can offer to our customers.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years experience working with fiber optic cables Make fiber optic splices along cables. Install fiber optic equipment and test for proper operation. Maintain inventory of fiber optic equipment and supplies. Cut and strip cable for use in new installations and splice boxes. Be familiar with components/hardware.
• Knowledge of working in high-rise or having riser management experience a plus
• Manufacturer's Training and Certification Courses a plus
• Must be able to lift 65 lbs., climb ladders and pull, terminate and test cable
• Must be familiar with both a clean office and a construction environment
• Must have good customer skills and the ability to function as part of a team

Pre-Employment:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Criminal and DMV background check

Full-time Pay:

$32.00 - $38.00 per hour
