Immediate Openings Available Position Overview Tek One Solutions is seeking experienced Structured Cabling Technicians to support commercial construction, enterprise, healthcare, education, industrial, and data center projects. This position involves installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting copper and fiber optic cabling systems while maintaining high-quality workmanship and adhering to industry standards. Successful candidates will have experience with commercial low-voltage installations and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team in active construction environments. Primary Responsibilities Pull, route, and secure Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling Terminate copper cabling using RJ45 connectors, patch panels, and keystone jacks Terminate and test single-mode and multimode fiber optic cabling Install and dress cable within racks, cabinets, ladder rack, basket tray, conduit, and J-hooks Build and organize MDFs and IDFs Install, label, and test patch panels, fiber enclosures, and network hardware Mount and connect wireless access points (WAPs), IP cameras, network devices, and other low-voltage equipment Perform cable certification and testing using Fluke testers, OTDRs, or other approved testing equipment Read blueprints, floor plans, riser diagrams, and cable schedules Maintain accurate labeling, documentation, and test results Troubleshoot copper and fiber connectivity issues Follow OSHA safety requirements and maintain a clean work environment Minimum Qualifications Experience with commercial structured cabling installations Experience pulling and terminating Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and/or fiber optic cabling Ability to terminate RJ45 connectors and punch down patch panels Basic understanding of network infrastructure and cable management Ability to read construction drawings and cable schedules Reliable transportation Strong work ethic, attendance, and attention to detail Preferred Experience Commercial Construction Data Centers Healthcare Facilities Office Build-Outs Distribution Centers Schools & Universities Copper Structured Cabling Fiber Optic Installation Fiber Termination Fiber Testing Rack & Stack MDF/IDF Build-Outs Wireless Access Points (WAPs) IP Cameras Patch Panels Cable Certification Cable Labeling Cable Management Backbone Cabling Horizontal Cabling Tools & Equipment Technicians should have experience using: Punch Down Tool RJ45 Crimpers Cable Strippers Snips Drill/Impact Driver Fish Tape Toner & Probe Fluke Tester (preferred) Fiber Test Equipment (preferred) Standard Low Voltage Hand Tools Preferred Certifications OSHA 10 or
OSHA 30 BICSI
