You will work hands-on with low-voltage electrical wiring, computer hardware, sensors, and networked security systems to ensure optimal protection for our clients. Duties Install, configure, and maintain access control systems including door security system integration and alarm systems. Set up and troubleshoot CCTV surveillance equipment, ensuring clear video feeds and remote access capabilities. Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately wire low-voltage electrical systems. Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on security equipment such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and fire alarm systems. Provide field service support by diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and replacing faulty components using hand tools and power tools. Support system design efforts by assisting with the layout of cabling, network configurations, and integration of security hardware. Offer technical troubleshooting support for complex security system problems while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in electrical security system installation or maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience working with computer hardware, cabling, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Familiarity with CCTV cameras, surveillance systems, remote access software, sensors, and alarm & access control systems. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and interpret technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to security systems including power over Ethernet (PoE) configurations. Experience troubleshooting equipment issues related to fire alarms, physical security systems, and low-voltage electrical components. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices necessary for system installation and repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid experience working with low-voltage electrical systems within a variety of environments; prior experience reading schematics is preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse field settings while adhering to safety standards.
