Reports To:
- Installation Manager Position Summary The Access Control Installer is responsible for the installation, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV/video surveillance, and integrated security solutions.
- Install and terminate low-voltage cabling for access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and related security systems.
- Install and configure card readers, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and control panels.
- Program and test access control systems to ensure proper operation.
- Install and configure IP-based video surveillance systems and network-connected security devices.
- Perform system inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, wiring drawings, and project specifications.
- Complete system commissioning and customer acceptance testing.
- Document work performed, service reports, equipment inventories, and project updates.
- Provide customer training on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other technicians to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Travel to customer sites as required.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
