We are actively seeking a Engineering Technician 4 based in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a full-time, onsite position. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting our Space Command program in Colorado Springs, CO. The main responsibilities of the role include: Engineering Technician 4 position will be supporting the buildup and modernization of facilities across Colorado Springs. You will be part of a 10-15 -member team that works closely with the customer and other program teams to deliver quality systems. The Network Cabling Technician / Engineering Technician 4 works on a team supporting cabling, equipment and C4ISR system installations. This position pulls, terminates, and dresses Category 6A and Fiber Optic cabling. Installs and documents IT equipment, cable conveyance, antennas and supporting systems. Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed. Selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents. The Engineering Technician 4 receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed; performs recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. In this role you will be working in clearance required facilities: Contribute to all phases of the infrastructure installation or upgrade. Pulling and dressing of fiber optic and copper cables. Installation of racks/credenzas and all peripheral equipment. Rack and stacking of equipment in racks/credenzas. Termination of copper cable up to CAT6A and SM/MM Fiber single strand to MPO/MTP. Solving issues related to cables and networks. Testing and recording of all cables. Installation per a SIPH standard IDP, adapt/troubleshoot/modify where necessary, and provide redlines back to an AutoCAD drafter for As-built updates. Resolve technical/physical issues often requiring coordination with other disciplines: networking, facilities, HVAC, electrical, security, etc. Conduct and document PITCO and SOVT activities. Train other team members or subcontract staff as required to accomplish work activities.
