We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional telecommunications and low-voltage electrical solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, and fiber optic systems.

Pay:
$26-$34/hr DOE Opportunity to work in a high security clearance environment. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems such as structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6), fiber optic networks, CCTV surveillance, VoIP telephony, Ethernet connections, and Cisco routers. Conduct fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation to ensure high-quality data transmission. Perform network wiring, cable termination, and equipment setup following schematics and industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code). Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, telecommunication testing equipment, and RF testers to identify issues and verify system performance. Troubleshoot equipment failures across telecommunications systems, computer hardware, networking devices, and power supplies using appropriate diagnostic techniques. Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions and resolving technical issues efficiently. Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, testing procedures, and system configurations for ongoing support and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician with a strong background in telecommunications systems installation and maintenance. Knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring standards (NEC), structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6), fiber splicing techniques, and network installation practices. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for system setup and troubleshooting. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, cable testers, RF testers, power tools, hand tools, and telecommunication testing equipment. Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems related to low-voltage applications. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
