Infrastructure Cable Technician Location:
Pensacola, FL (onsite)
Pay Rate:
Open to Both C2C and W2 options
Position Type:
Contract Position Summary Coordinates, monitors, administers, and services technical environments. Completes implementations, performs integration activities, and provides operational support for technical environments. Primary Responsibilities Assemble and arrange materials and equipment. Review and verify service orders, drawings, specifications, requirements, and installation instructions. Run, pull, terminate, and splice copper and fiber-optic cabling, including CAT5, CAT6, low-voltage, and fiber-optic cable. Install and mount telecommunications equipment in accordance with industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and established best practices. Install and support network infrastructure components, including routers, hubs, switches, racks, ladder racks, and J-hooks. Install access-control systems, surveillance cameras, wireless access points, and related devices. Select and verify cable pathways. Conduct site surveys. Assist with designing, developing, and implementing cabling standards and specifications. Oversee cabling projects performed by third-party contractors. Maintain documentation related to the cabling infrastructure. Install cable-support systems and pull network cabling through approved pathways. Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber-optic cable installations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Two or more years of experience performing cable-infrastructure installation services. Familiarity with BICSI standards, cabling standards, and related certifications. Experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems in enterprise environments.
