This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a self-motivated technician who can troubleshoot complex systems, lead projects in the field, mentor junior technicians, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Competitive pay based on experience Company vehicle Company-issued tools and equipment Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and holidays Career advancement opportunities Manufacturer and industry certification training Supportive team environment Work with cutting-edge access control, surveillance, and gate automation technology Primary Responsibilities As the Lead Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining: Automated gate operators Access control systems IP and analog CCTV systems Video Management Systems (VMS) Intercom systems Low-voltage infrastructure Network-connected security devices Daily Duties Include Diagnose and repair gate operators, barrier arms, sensors, loops, safety devices, and control equipment. Install new gate systems, including conduit, wire pulling, concrete work, loop cutting, and welding when required. Install and troubleshoot IP and analog surveillance cameras, including PTZ cameras. Configure and maintain NVRs, DVRs, and Video Management Systems such as Milestone, ExacqVision, Genetec, and similar platforms. Install magnetic locks, electric strikes, card readers, request-to-exit devices, and access control panels. Configure access control software, user permissions, schedules, and system integrations. Assign IP addresses and configure switches, routers, VLANs, and network communication for security devices. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and document service work. Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support when possible. Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service requests. Train and mentor junior technicians. Maintain professional communication with customers while representing Ramco Protective in the field. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing commercial electronic security systems.

Strong knowledge of:
Gate operators Access control systems IP networking CCTV systems Low-voltage wiring Experience with manufacturers such as: Honeywell Continental LiftMaster DoorKing Linear Nice/HySecurity Milestone ExacqVision Genetec Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Physical Requirements Lift up to 75 pounds. Climb ladders and work from lifts. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Kneel, bend, crawl, and work in confined spaces when necessary. Preferred Qualifications Low Voltage License Gate operator certifications Networking certifications OSHA certification Welding experience Experience with cloud-based access control platforms Experience integrating security systems with mobile applications Ready to Build Your Career?
