Job Description
Description Cable Installation:
Pull, route, and manage CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cabling through cable trays, racks, and conduits.Termination & Testing:
Terminate copper (patch panels, jacks) and fiber (LC, SC) connectors; test and certify links with equipment like Fluke analyzers.Infrastructure Build-out:
Install racks, cabinets, cable pathways, and supporting hardware.System Maintenance:
Troubleshoot, identify, and repair cabling faults and connectivity issues.Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety procedures (OSHA, NFPA), including safe use of ladders and lift equipment.Documentation:
Label all cables and ports, and update documentation or as-built drawings Skills Cable installation, Low voltage, Install, Cable, Cabling, Construction, Termination testing, Punchdown, Network infrastructure, Structured cabling, wireless access point, cat 6 cables, rack and stack Top Skills Details Cable installation,Low voltage,Install Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical Proficiency:
Deep knowledge of low-voltage cabling systems and standard practices.Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.Tools Familiarity:
Proficiency with crimpers, punch-down tools, and cable testers.Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.Certifications:
Often requires or prefers BICSI certifications Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
