Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced BICSI Level 2 Low Voltage Technician to support commercial and data center low-voltage installations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with structured cabling, cable installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting. This is a great opportunity for a technician who can work independently, read drawings, maintain quality standards, and effectively support a field installation team. Responsibilities Install, route, dress, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling systems. Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic, and other structured cabling . Perform copper and fiber testing using appropriate test equipment. Build out and organize IDF/MDF rooms, telecommunications rooms, and data center spaces . Install cable tray, J-hooks, ladder rack, conduit, and other cable pathway systems. Perform rack and cabinet installation, cable management, and equipment mounting. Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, cable schedules, and installation drawings. Identify and troubleshoot cabling issues, connectivity problems, and installation deficiencies. Label cables, ports, racks, and equipment according to project specifications. Maintain proper cable routing, bend radius, separation, and workmanship standards. Assist with punch-list completion, quality control, and final testing. Follow all project-specific safety requirements and OSHA guidelines. Work alongside foremen, project managers, engineers, and other technicians to complete installations on schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications BICSI Level 2 certification required. 3+ years of hands-on low-voltage/structured cabling experience preferred. Strong experience installing and terminating copper and fiber. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and cable plans. Experience with testing and certification equipment. Familiarity with commercial, enterprise, or data center environments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Must have reliable transportation. Must have basic hand tools required for low-voltage installation. Must be able to follow safety procedures and work in active construction environments. Ability to work from ladders and lifts. Ability to work overhead for extended periods. Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces when required. Ability to work in active construction and data center environments.
