Ongoing Contract We are looking for a dependable Low Voltage Technician to join our team on an ongoing contract basis in the Melbourne, FL area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with low voltage systems, structured cabling, and field installation work. Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling and equipment Install and service structured cabling, data, voice, and related low voltage systems Perform cable pulls, terminations, labeling, and testing Read and follow wiring diagrams, plans, and installation specifications Troubleshoot connectivity and installation issues Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all applicable safety procedures and job-site requirements Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members Qualifications Previous low voltage or structured cabling experience preferred Basic knowledge of low voltage wiring and installation practices Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work on ladders and perform physical field work Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A cabling Fiber optic cabling Access control CCTV/security systems Fire alarm systems Audio/visual systems Cable testing and certification Compensation & Schedule $22-$25/hour , based on experience and skill level Ongoing contract work with potential for consistent hours Work primarily in and around Melbourne, FL Opportunities for continued work for reliable, qualified technicians
