Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Field Technician with a strong sense of ownership to join our team. In this role, you will provide on-site and in-home technical, installation, service, and maintenance support for audio-visual, security, and home automation systems, both during and after the construction process. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, has hands-on experience with audio-visual and/or security systems, and has spent time working in residential construction. What You'll Do Perform pre-wiring, installation, programming, and maintenance in structures under construction (before and after walls and ceilings are closed) as well as in existing homes. Install and service security systems, telephone, cable television, CCTV, intercom, structured wiring, wired and wireless networking, control panels, security control boxes and keypads, low-voltage lighting, home automation systems, and audio/video systems. Install racking systems, theater systems, projectors, automated screens, motorized window treatments, lighting systems, and access control systems. Read and work from architectural drawings, specifications, and industry-standard construction documents. Use hand tools, electronic test equipment, and ladders safely and proficiently. Complete required paperwork and job documentation accurately and on time. Represent Dais professionally with homeowners, builders, and trade partners on every job site.
Requirements:
What You'll Bring Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on low-voltage experience. Experience with audio-visual and/or security systems; residential construction experience preferred. Familiarity with Honeywell, Control4 and Alarm.com platforms. Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines. High school diploma or recognized equivalent. Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical Requirements Long periods of standing, moving, climbing, balancing, kneeling, squatting, and bending. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to navigate rough and uneven terrain. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Well-groomed appearance and a professional image at all times.
