Position Summary The Lead Access Control, CCTV & Low Voltage Technician is responsible for leading the installation, programming, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of low-voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, structured cabling, and other integrated security systems. This position supervises field technicians, ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to company standards and applicable codes. Responsibilities Lead and supervise installation crews on commercial and industrial projects. Install, configure, and troubleshoot: Access Control Systems IP and Analog CCTV Systems Video Management Systems (VMS) Intrusion Alarm Systems Intercom Systems Structured Cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber Optic) Network-connected security devices Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics. Program controllers, card readers, cameras, and network devices. Commission and test completed systems. Perform service calls, diagnostics, and repairs. Train junior technicians on installation procedures and best practices. Coordinate with project managers and customers. Maintain accurate documentation, service reports, and as-built drawings. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, NEC requirements, and local building codes. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
