This position is intended for someone who can complete familiar installation tasks independently while working as part of a project team. Technicians are expected to follow project drawings, company standards, and direction from the Lead Technician or Project Coordinator. Responsibilities Install structured cabling systems including copper and fiber optic cabling. Terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling. Install racks, cabinets, patch panels, cable supports, faceplates, jacks, and related infrastructure. Install and assist with wireless access points, cameras, access control, intercom, audio/video, and other technology systems. Read and follow project drawings, scopes of work, and installation instructions. Complete assigned work independently when within your training and experience. Identify and communicate field conditions, material needs, scope concerns, or installation issues. Maintain proper cable routing, labeling, termination, and workmanship standards. Assist with testing, startup, commissioning, and project documentation. Follow company safety requirements and protect customer facilities and equipment. Assist with the training and development of Helpers when needed. Experience and Qualifications Previous low-voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, security, networking, or related experience preferred. Working knowledge of copper cabling installation and termination. Fiber optic installation and testing experience is a plus. Ability to use common low-voltage tools and testing equipment. Ability to read basic floor plans and installation drawings. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently on familiar tasks with limited supervision. Dependable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with the project team. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Travel and Physical Requirements This is a field-based position and may require travel, overnight stays, extended hours, or occasional weekend work depending on project needs. Candidates must be able to work from ladders and lifts, work above ceilings, bend, kneel, reach overhead, pull cable, and safely lift approximately 50 pounds. What We Expect A successful Technician should be able to receive an assignment, understand the expected result, complete the work to company standards, and communicate when something does not match the drawings, scope, or field conditions. Technicians who continue developing their technical skills, field judgment, and leadership ability may have opportunities to advance into Lead Technician and other technical roles within 1 Accord Technologies.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
